It may be a very short game, but can get very rewarding with replayability

User Rating: 8 | Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PS4

When I say this game is short I mean it is short past Metal Gear Solid games I've played have lasted me for hours and enjoyed every moment of each of the games in the series. Ground Zeroes is the prologue for Metal Gear Solid V this does feel more of a demo than a game itself, but Ground Zeroes still offers a lot to both gamers and fans of the series once completing the main campaign which can easily take you at least 2 hours or less pending on how quick you can sneak around without being spotted or wanting to fire your way through with guns and explosions.

Taking place after the events of Peace Walker the legendary Snake (a.k.a. Big Boss), infiltrates Camp Omega where both Paz and Chico are held. The hostages hold key information concerning Snake and his private military organisation that Snake and his ally Kaz Miller must prevent from being exposed. Ground Zeroes charts the rescue and the subsequent fallout that leads into the beginning of The Phantom Pain.

Kojima really did like to mess with both fans and gamers when it came to the story-plot for each Metal Gear Solid game including some added history around wars and democracy that goes on around the world. Kojima also really knows how to make a good game that has both outstanding gameplay and stunning visuals on any system, using the power of the FOX engine being used on Metal Gear Solid V once the full game is released. Looking at the graphics used on both the PS4 and PS3 really do look impressive for a next-gen game as we are in between both of the 7th generation and 8th generation when it comes to art in video games, looking at the cutscenes and visuals really do make a great impact on the game plus the environments during day time and night time for an open-world game.

I know that fans really do miss hearing David Hayter's voice when playing Solid Snake/Big Boss in the past games, Kiefer Sutherland's voice on Big Boss shows an example on what to expect in Metal Gear Solid V when it comes to voicing. Once you've beaten the main campaign you will unlock other side-quests and missions which will be available to choose from more you play the more rewarding Ground Zeroes can get, even on the main campaign you can go through it at multiple times going through multiple ways on clearing the game.

I do wonder what Kojima will do next but just hope that he leaves more surprises and riddles along the way which makes both the series and games more exciting, it's still worth picking up but like I've just said above that Ground Zeroes is a very short game but can still be very rewarding including PSN trophies added which should make you want to come back to more of it.
