I don't see where the game is worth a 10 but it's a great game. I'm still early in the game but there are some issues I have with some elements. In certain situations the AI units have unbelievable abilities to spot you like from behind their back at least 100 paces away from them while your crouched and walking slowly. It seems the AI becomes dumber in the dark unless equipped with night vision equipment. Open world this is not, just from playing in Afghanistan alone major sections of the map are basically unusable terrain because it's all mountains and a lot of areas are low enough that you should be able to climb but can't or on minor cliff sides you start sliding like its a spot you can't access. The first mission to save miller you get attack by the parasite unit, it's not a secret since the introduction for that mission tells who they are anyway, you have to sit as far from the bridge as possible to hide from them until you can skirt around them to proceed and not get detected. Get at the very top of the nearby mountain should be travers able but you slide off the invisible wall and what's worse is that I could just go the opposite direction and go around the mountain but nope the invisible mission parameters keep me from doing that, again not an open world game! Gameplay and player abilities are top notch but some flaws are present. Over time the AI units will adapt to your play style and attacks to make it increasingly harder to attack them, like using helmets and night vision during night, some will use riot shields and have snipers. The load out options are pretty realistic, you can have two primary weapons. One you holster like a sword at your waist, the other on your back. You get tons of gear, like the Fulton, night vision equipment, binocs, the patented hiding boxes, and so on. You also have secondary weapons, these are handguns and your bionic arm. All of your equipment is upgradable but you can't customize them. You develop better versions of your weapons separately, you can't develop attachment a for them which sucks. So it's more like a rpg than a shooter in that sense. The base building stuff is fun but weapon development is expensive! Like some stuff costs as much as what you receive from missions. Basically it's to slow your development progression to be extended throughout the game vs having everything done early. A lot of what you unlock is found on blueprints found around the game and such. It's a fun game but not worth a 10 score.

Before I get this game, I've downloaded Ground Zeroes and I couldn't understand why Gamespot's reviewer gave it a 10, I had to check this out. The game is simply fantastic, parallel missions are entertaining, which mean... Read Full Review
