Just a great game to close the XX century

User Rating: 9.7 | Metal Gear Solid (Premium Package) PS
Metal Gear Solid was a boom in 1998. The first time I played it was a demo (make your way to Donald Anderson and that is), however I was speechless because the emotion of hiding myself from the guards. Few weeks later my friend bought it; and yep you got it, I asked it borrowed. Since I don't have Playstation I also asked him for the console, however he didn't care about since he and his brother has two PS's (one is his, and one is his brother's) and was using only one of them. For the next 3 weeks, I was stuck in front of the TV. I played and played the game once and again and again. Trying everything possible, investigating how to change the ending and few dialogues. The game is a masterpiece and way under rated by Gamespot (Come admit it). What surprised me most is the history, not many games give so much importance to the history like Metal Gear Solid does. In few words this is the most touching game I've played so far. There are so many funny parts like the guy that tell you "you're playing with ketchup" and sad parts like Sniper Wolf, Grey Fox and Naomi. I've got so deep into the game that after I returned the game and the PS, I was searching the previous events of the game; since what come with the game there are too many missing details. Gameplay 8/10 You can do everything easily, the control is not complicated at all. You can shoot, run and hide without problem. The only thing that I found a little hard to do is shooting a guard out of you screen, since you can't shoot with first person view. Graphics 10/10 The graphics are too pixeled and people don't move their mouth when they speak, except for that I think beside that there's nothing I can complain of. Wait a second then why I giving it 10 I must be crazy. The reason is those gorgeous hand drawn pictures where resume your mission so far after you load a game; I can't give them less that 10 for that. Sound 9.5/10 Almost perfect; gun fires, screams and other sounds perfect; the music fix perfectly with game and the cinemas. But when you're fighting a boss always (except Metal Gear Rex and Liquid) hear the same music again and again, that's kind of annoying after 10 hours spent in the game. Replay Value 10/10 I just played it again and again it's so amazing. There are two endings in the game, but that's not all there are parts that you can pass them in different ways. May be it doesn't change the ending, but some how change the dialogue when someone calls you by the codec. This game already has a place in the history and a place in my all-time top 10 list. For me an instantaneous classic, that generation after generation will enjoy (may be I'm wrong).
