Metal Gear Solid is one of the best PS1 Games ever created, its has an amazing storyline, great twists and superb graphics. You play as solid snake, the hero of the game, sent on a mission that leads him to Alaska. With a infamous beginning to the game, you'll want to play on just to get to see the snow and torment the guards with knocking from the back of a truck. The game is spread over 2 discs with about 7 1/2 hours of gameplay on each disc. There are about 6 bosses (i think) each have their own unique fighting style and the bosss fights never get samey, you can also chose to shoot stealthiy or just go all out and blast the crap out of everyone. MGS is a superb game and could have been perfect if the gameplay had been so perfect as the graphics.
Graphics: One of the best looking games on the PS1, the cut scenes show off the graphics to their full potential. 10/10
Gameplay: Very nearly there but sometimes the gameplay can bore when you keep getting caught on the same bit or you cant shoot someone. 9/10
Sound: The acting and sound of the game is great. 10/10
Value: An extremely long game but still isn't as long as Final Fantasy 9 - now that game is long. 10/10
Overall every PS1 owner should have this game even if you don't like the genre, its a must have game.
