As said at the review for the mobile version of MG the MSX version never came to USA but they got Metal Gear on NES what luck. Ultra Games stood for the game they where told to convert the MSX version to the NES which can´t be done it´s like porting a PS2 game to the N64 so it became a remake instead. So is there anything that they kept from the MSX? well yes they kept the story the characters and well that´s all. But they where adding new things like new weapons new items and new places like the jungle(now we know where Hideo Kojima got the idea of setting in MGS3 i´m just kidding) but the jungle is not a good place cause the whole jungle is cursed by a maze one point you just got out of the desert you need to get to a place and you can only do that by completeing the maze really stupid. The graphics are good but not the best the item´s look a bit stupid and the colors are almost the same from place to place. The sound is good it´s one of the best things in the game. The story is confuseing cause the manual explains the in a weird way it´s speaking of another terrorist leader(i can´t remember his name)and he dosént even appear in the game. (available in a) Otherwise the rest of the things are good Meal Gear is still store where the sell NES with nothing more to say Metal Gear is one of the best NES games it´s sure not as good as the MSX version but it does look a lot like the MSX version. Ultra Games also released Metal Gear Snake´s Revenge USA´s squeal to MG the game flopped and that´s all you need to know about Snake´s Revenge
This game is really the first Metal Gear, but not a lot of people know about it. They think that Metal Gear Soild was the first one. The phone call you call you get in Metal Gear Solid about how Outer Heaven was run and ... Read Full Review
