Great but whats with unlimited continues?

I love Metal Slug. The action is always intense, the character design is top notch, and the sense of humor is...um...kind of not really that funny, but still you'd be a jerk not to respect a game like MS. The problem here is that while briefness is a component of most side scrolling shooters, not having the option to play with limited continues is not. I tried to say "ok after three lives i'll just restart" but thats not satisfying and I kept telling my myself that certain deaths were cheap and what not. This is a port port. The only difference between this and the arcade is a couple of menus and the coin operation. I had no idea that my start button had access to so many quarters. Anyways the games great but less than fully featured. Definite rental. Dont buy it unless you're a collector or like spiteful or disgruntled or it costs less to buy than rent.
If it werent for the infinite live, then this game would be quite tough.
