run. aim. shoot. run. aim. shoot. hop in tank. shoot. hop out. shoot. run. aim. shoot. run. jump. kill boss. eh, its ok.
Gameplay- the gameplay is fairly difficult. It will never be easy for a second, but it is never impossible(until the last level's boss. You wont get to do some things that would have made it more of a RPG than it wanted to be-along with what you wanted it to be. Such as your guns, you only start each level with your pistol, and you cannot upgrade weapons. You also dont get to do the fun kinda things enouph either. In all, the gaming is decent but rather, well, raw, and no where near medium rare.
Graphics- The graphics are good. It really keeps with what they were meant to be. Every bit identical to the graphics of its ancisters. Its just about as satisfiing as it is to sit back with a liter of mountain dew and whatch a season of MONK.
Sound- Rather dull. it would have rocked if it took the sound to a point where you start to think, "hey, this music sure beats the backround music of Gamecube games and still keeps with that good ol' Metal Slug beat as well." With that, the music is better than a 7 yet better not get it's hopes up for 9.
Value- As you may know, I never type anywhere close to a paragraph if I'm bummed bout' a game's quality in a subgect. thats wut I'm gonna do here, cus of it's lack of gaming and only having 5-7 levels of little enjoyment, so no matter what, I shall not type a paragraph for this game's value an- WUT?1,2,3..... DOH!
Tilt- May not be patriotic of it's history and legacy, but it's still Metal Slug all right. The plot needs no more story telling because of so. Go on the island, save hostages, kill bad dudes, and take out the UFO. Ah, just like the good you did back in the good ol' days at the arcade. overall, it doesnt do great, but it gets a 7.9. Eh, I guess that's fair enouph.
