This game is just perfect for side-scrolling lovers, Metroid fans, and anyone who truly loves games.
Neither did I, I was only like 10 when this game came out. My naivete then told me, "Ew, it's a 2D game, who the hell plays that anymore." Yes, I cussed at that age, stfu.
But when my friend bought it, I had not been at all familiar with the Metroid series at all, other than my best friend who said the game sucked and was too hard (for us 10 year olds). But thinking back, that game was Metroid II: Return of Samus, which I STILL would not play.
This game, is totally different. I recall seeing GameInformer's rating of a 10 on it. The immersive storyline and gameplay makes you fall in love with the game, no doubt. Even though it is a handheld 2D adventure game, I found myself having reactions as if it were an IMAX movie. When I heard the music stop, and become creepy, with noise in the background, my heart drooped down into my stomach. "Z0mg it's me, but better!"
Anyways, I fear I digress far too much. It's just a damned good game, even at this day and age.
