Overall this is a very good game.....but only if your a fan of the series. If you are then you will feel right at home playing through the various levels. But if your not really into the Metroid games then prepare to be frustrated. Personally I'm sorta in the middle. I'm old enough to have played the originals and I did enjoy them back then, but I wasn't crazy for them. Playing Fusion is pretty much the same as playing the old 8-bit versions with a few added moves thrown in. The graphics are really good for the GBA and the sounds are decent. The only real problem I had with the game is it's a little cheap. And by that I mean some of the puzzle elements could have used tweaking. You will spend a lot of time shooting bricks (or cubes...whatever) to find the way out (or in) to certain locations. I don't mind a bit of Hunt & Seek but it seems almost every mission you are required to find the "secret" way out. And the bricks you have to shoot don't show any signs of things hidden (a crack etc.) So after a while its like "I need to get in that room up there, so I guess I'll just have to shoot every brick and wall around here till one breaks." Which tends to get a little old after a few hours. But other than that, Fusion is a solid game and a worthy addition to your GBA collection.
Now, I'm going to use the Pros & Cons System this time, so enjoy reading, and a thumbs up would be very nice of you. Thank you. Metroid Fusion was the first Metroid game on the GBA and it is one of the best GBA and ha... Read Full Review
