Classic metroid gameplay with a great story!
Another amazing metroid game
The graphics in the game are great for a gameboy game. The game is very colourful and Samuses new suit look great. Think of it as super metroid graphics but revamped. The results are stunning.
The gameplay is classic metroid. You can point your weapon at 45 degree angles to take down monsters and you have alot of weapons. So far i have unlocked the charge beam, missiles and the morph ball. These power ups are great because once you get these moves you can unlock hidden areas of the stage. They also added on being able to hang on to ledges which adds alot more to the game.
The story in the game is amazing for metroid fans. Samus went to a planet with a group of soldiers. She then got infected by a parasite called x. It infected her body and surgeons operated on her. The only way they could stop it was infecting her with a metroid vaccine. The end result is her new suit. Now on SR388 when she fights these things because of the new suit when she kills one of them and takes the infection it just replenshis her ammo and health. This is a very clever way of giving her health. But if you wait too long the virus goes back into the monster and it comes back to life making the game alot more strategic.
The sound in the game is great because you hear her footsteps and explosions and your space ship sound nice. Overall i think this is one of the best 2d metroid games ever and is highly recommended for metroid fans and platforming fans.
