I love this game! Its awesome and a classic just like the mario games. What makes this game so awsome is the fact you can explore without a timer and find new upgrades and enemys, and the story unfolds itself as you play. It unfolds in a gameplay way not really videos although that would be good if it was added with it too as a bonus to gamers. The 2 best version that i played (the old ones anyway) were this game and the SNES version called Super Metroid. I enjoyed them alot and still addicted to them!! I havent really tryed the new ones yet but i will soon i hope. I want to get all of the metriod games (and mario too lol) :D

  Apparently, what happens on SR-388 happens after the events of the Metroid Prime cycle. So yes, you need this game.
