This game is so close to being Incredible
There are a couple things that keep this game from being a classic however. The first of which is a frequent requirement to "search" the room. In these moments you are stuck stationary in FPS view and are tasked with finding an object in the room by looking around, you cannot make any progress until this is completed. Often times the object was so minute and obscure that it would take almost 10 to 15 minutes to find, completely stagnating gameplay. The game is also hindered by redundant level design, something that Metroid's have encountered in the past, but seems to hit heavily upon this one. Often times you will find yourself entering and exiting the same room a multitude of times or moving on to rooms nearly identical to the one you just exited from.
Other than these small hinderences in gameplay, Metroid Other M is a massively fun game with a great storyline.
