Mertoid Prime 2 is a very good sequel to the first one. Our favorite sexy bounty hunter Samus once again has to put on the red suit, and has to save everyones butt....again. The story: Samus must find a ship that went missing after following a pirate ship. She sets off for the planet Aether which has been spilt into two worlds, one of light, and one of dark. Later she go into a weird portal and get ambush by the Ing, the monsters of Dark Aether. She loses her moves....again, and must recover them and stop the Ing from destroying Light Aether. The graphics can only be describe in one word:breathtaking. Once you are in an open area, you just can stop and look at the fine detail. Even the shadowy world of Aether look fantastic. All of the sounds are were they are suppose to be, but some people may say the some of the music does not match the background. The enemies in the game range from pervert difficulty to very very hard to beat. They range from bugs to Ing and Pirates to really really big Ings and machines. One thing to talk about are the bosses. Oh my god you will have the hardest time beating them. Every the mini bosses are difficult. It will take you more than a few tries to destroy all of them. The big thing that Nintendo added was mutlplayer. It is okay but being able to lock-on to other people and killing them very easy just makes it a little bland. Another problem people may say is all of the backtracking Samus has to do. Especially at the end. But that is just the Metroid style. It will take about 20 hours to finish the story, more if you want a 100%. This game will not win alot of new fans, but other people will be on it like Metroid Crack. So thats why I am giving Metroid Prime 2 a 9.1 out of 10.
