AgGood game worth your time

User Rating: 8.5 | Metroid Prime 2: Echoes GC
This game has alot of good qualities in it. The large levels and serious sense of adventure is nearly the same in this great game. The only way I would say the original is actually better than this one. The story in this one adds motion and fluid sense in the game, but there was a much more crazy sense of adventure in the last one. This one is alot darker, and alot more exciting. At the same time, the original one was alot more colorful in the elaborate use of aliens and creatures. In this game, the space pirates play a rather large role, as they will be fought the most against. Samus's arsenal has been greatly improved, and is extremely potent againt the right enemy. The addition of ammo is good, but you don't have to worry alot about running out, because most of the time, you will have plenty, but this gives you more motive to always switch back to the power beam, which makes the game feel alot better, because you cannot always use the big guns like in the original. The treasures are a little easier to find though, the big guns are always pointed out, but the puzzles in this game are slightly challenging. The bosses always follow a pattern, but still bring a sense of challenge with towering stamina and power. Mutiplayer is a fun aspect, but a little bad in some cases. It's fun to blast away at your friends, but there is too much power in the game that causes it to seriously malfunction. If one person has the best weapon it will be way to hard to beat him because of it. Multiplayer needed to be worked on more, but the satisfaction of obtaining an item or beating a boss is great ub subgke player, because it is rather hard to get through one area, as they are all very big. So if a friend isn't around, multiplayer isn't very vivid, so you aren't missing much. The levels in multiplayer are rather small, and have limited abilities. Though, it is some fun, it is lacking in some cases, and as I said before, inbalanced. In the end, you have a game that's very worth playing, and rather worth your time. The flaws in multiplayer are easily passed by and it's still some fun to play. Overall this game is fun. The sense of accomplishment and power you can acheive is very high, and the bosses and enemies are still extravagant. The most disliked of all to me is actually how you collect data on enemies, this made the game feel like it was your job to scan everything, which isn't fun. You'd only be interested if you really liked metroid, but for one game, you're eventually going to skip it, but they give you a secondary mission and a bit of understanding of the world of metroid. Give this game a shot, it's worth playing and has alot of value to it, it's especially big, so you'll be playing for a rather long time.
