Metriod Prime 2 is for fans of the original, or newcomers alike. That was what was being said about is since it was announced. That is simply not true. I am a Metroid fan, but MP2E I didn't like. Well, not as much as MP1. The truth is there is not enough actual fighting for a 20 hour shooter and too many puzzles for any game where you see a gun in front of yout face. This is an adventure game, not an FPS. It tries to be more realistic than it's predecessor, but BANG! Bye-bye realisim. While in the original there was an ice world, a fire world, a ruins world, and a forest world, yjey did that well and placed all of them at different altitudes. Now we have an overdone Light-Dark world that could've been written by an 8-year-old. Add light/dark beams into the mix, and you have something more overdone. The beginning is situated to be scary. You see Galactic Federation Troopers dead, hanging by webs. That is not scaty nor sad because they are in robot suits. You cannot see an organic part of them. You don't cry when Bender hangs from a web, do ya? In spite of what I previously said, MP2E is not terrible. Rent it first, then, if you're interested, buy it.
