Well I heard alot of good things about the Metroid Prime series and decided to final buy 1 of the games. Well I got it a few months ago and lets say its collecting dust and I never beat it. This game for 1 has amazing graphics I will give it that and the music suits very well with the game. During the course of your travels I will call it you come across different weapons Dark and Light ammo and other things like Super missions and you get the point. its all nice and dandy except you can only get ammo of each by killing an enemy with each. So light ammo kill to get dark and vise versa. The battles are preety good and the enemy's can be challanging at times like those guys you fight in the swamps. One huge factor I hate about this game is the backtracking. I for one LOVE to backtrack for items and secrets like in Zelda games and such, however this game MAKES you backtrack. Forceing a player to backtrack is no fun and also trying to find out where to go next can be hell and worse when your in the dark zone you could call it. In this dark zone you LOSE hp from the toxic gas until you get better suits and so forth. Before that though you got to sit in these light beams that protect you and basically wait 5 minutes of your life go get a snake or something till you life goes back to normal. This is really annoying when you don't know where to go, your losing life goes of the gases and an enemy is blasting at you full force. I didn't enjoy this game that much and I am not blamming the Metroid series but this game has turned me off. I have heard from Metroid fans this game was a bad game so I might give the Wii Metroid a chance but I decided for now that I will not be getting Metroid Prime Hunters for my DS.
