Metroid: the way it's supposed to be played.
Any fan of Nintendo will probably know what Metroid is, and if you don't, well 2002 was the time to start when the release of Metroid Prime for the Gamecube was out.
I've played both the 1st and 2nd, but i haven't had time to play the third. The graphics are beautiful, even for a game that was originally for the Gamecube quite some time ago. Sound is superb, giving you the Metroid "feel", from the nostalgic Samus Powerup Theme to some new tunes, you'll very much agree that this game's music sets up the mood from walking down a quiet path, to an immense and destructive boss battle.
This game really just isn't a mindless FPS Shooter, this game requires a lot of backtracking and some puzzle solving, and if you aren't the one with much patience this isn't the game for you, but i assure you that that patience will be paid off in the end with powerups, new paths, and items, this all goes towards which ending you'll get. In the past Metroid Games, in order to achieve the "best" ending would require you to finish in a set amount of time, the Prime series rewards you for your curiosity and exploration.
The Trilogy set gives you what your money's worth too. 3 games for the price of one and if you are a die hard Metroid fan, i'm guessing you already have this Trilogy or have played it, but if you haven't, you should definitely try it out. Please note since this Trilogy set is a very rare game nowadays, it may be hard to come by. I had to pay an arm and a leg, but it was worth it. Also note the reason I gave it a 9.5 is because I've yet to play the 3rd sequel. :)
