This has got to be one of the worst games I've ever played! What is it that everyone loves so much about this game?! This is nothing like I thought it would be, its basically a big puzzle game with little bits of action thrown in. And the controls are one of the most messed up parts of the game! You use the control stick not only to walk but to look around too. So you can't straft unless you hold the L button then use the control stick to straft which becomes a big problem when you want to turn corners, because you have to have time to let go of the buttons you use to straft and reposition your hands on the controller while the enemy gets the first attack in. Even though theres bosses you still have to play for at least an hour before you get to them. And they are really annoying because to hurt them you have to do a bunch of things in a row just to wound them once, and it takes forever to figure out what you have to do to hurt them. Also theres too much going on on the screen. That combined with the controls make the game a big confusing headache. Another thing that makes the game so bad is the fact that theres a ton of back tracking. You will on average go through the same room about 10-30 times. And theres no levels in the game, so you will end up on one side of the huge map then have to get all the way to the other side and the enemies spawn when you leave a room so you will have to fight them all over again. They made the game so open ended that you will have trouble figuring out what to do after you beat a boss or beating big parts of the game. And after you get stuck you will have to search the whole map (which is every level of the game that you have played so far) to get something that you never found most of the time so you can get past a certain spot only to get stuck again because the games so open ended. And this isin't the type of game you can stop playing for a while then come back to, because you have to remember everything that you did last or you will become stuck again and have to search the whole map to find out what to do next. I wouldn't even recommend this game as a rental because you will get lost, confused and frustrated and never want to play it again. I don't know why but this game gets really boring after the first 10 minutes. I know a lot of people are going to flame me for this review but just remember this people who are looking at buying this game: If you want an action game don't play this game, but if you want a puzzle game with the annoyance of constantly spawning enemies while you are trying to figure something out then rent or buy this game. It actually doesn't matter if you buy or rent it because its basically the same price either way. But I wouldn't even recommend renting it. I'll now sum it all up:

3. lots of different enemies
4. open ended gameplay
Con's
1. gameplay is too open ended
2. not enough action more of a puzzle game then an action game
3. too hard
4. too much back tracking
5. no multiplayer
6. it gets confusing because its not split up into levels its just one big map so its too easy not be able to figure out
7. weird controls make the game hard
8. it takes lots of trys to beat a boss because theres a long series of complicated steps to killing bosses
9. enemies spawn when you leave a room making back tracking a pain
10. too much going on on the screen
11. you will want to straft when turning corners but strafting is hard to do so enemies around the corner will almost always get the first attack in.
12. game gets boring really quickly.
