A platformer at heart but a whole new perspective makes this game one of the best for the Gamecube.

My introduction to Metroid was in Super Smash Bros. The first time I saw her I was like who the hell is that? I started playing with her and wondered what game she came from. And then Super Smash Bros. Melee came out and I got the trophy of her. My first reaction was, "He's a girl?" But I got interested. Come time for Metroid Prime, I was immediately hooked. The depth and graphics of this game is amazing. As I played it I almost started to think of it as an intellectual platformer from a first-person perspective. This is due to the puzzles, platforms, and upgrade of arsenal and power-ups in the game. I know that some people hate reading through text and just want to blow stuff up, but for those who truly want to get the best out of this game should try reading as much info and scan as much stuff as possible. The story is deeper and more compelling than any other shooter for the Gamecube, (except for XIII but that games story was the ONLY reason for playing it.) The game may seem hard at first but stay with it. Everything'll work out. This is a must buy for fans of story, fist-person shooters, Gamecube owners, nintendo fanboys, Sci-Fi, or the metroid series.
