Metroid Prime is an excellent conversion of one of the best side-scrollers into a fully three-dimentional world.

What to say about MP? Well, for one it is a very atmospheric game. It shows just how well the Gamecube can be utilized. The controls make use of every button on the contoller. There is practically no aiming that needs to be done, so you can just focus on avoiding the enemy attacks. This is not an easy game however. Well, it is, but some areas and bosses are a bit difficult. The trick is learning how to beat the enemy, not just attack it head on like you would in first-person shooters. This is more of an adventure game. Here are some positives/negatives: Gameplay: +interesting +immersive +secrets -quite annoying when you don't know what to do as there is no dialogue what so ever -it would be nice to see more cutscenes Graphics: +60fps +good textures -level design not as great as one would hope Sound: +/-music is sometimes good/ and bad -gunshots don't really sound all that good Value: +you could get it for around 20 bucks -a mini game would be nice Bottom line is that if you want a cool adventure/shooter where you get to explore a richly detailed world in a non-linnear manner, then get this game.
