Metroid Prime, at the time of its release, was being hailed as one of the greatest games of all time, and I do agree that it's an atmospheric game with great graphics and enemies. However, I really don't feel anything special for it. The game play feels really weird. Everything from movement to scanning feels really tedious and poorly implemented. The graphics are truly sharp, but nothing spectacular is done at any point. The environments are boring and don't project any kind of life.

The audio is decent, but I REALLY get annoyed by the old-school sounding music. I get the fact that they were going for the nostalgia factor, but it doesn't seem to fit.

Overall, this is an O.K. adventure game with some interesting gameplay mechanics and above-average graphics.
