Halo was the best FPS Microsoft had to offer. Metroid Prime is Nintendo's answer to that achievement.
Space Pirates are inhabiting the beautiful and stunning-looking world of Tallon IV, and they are using biomutation methods on the creatures on that planet to make an immense and powerful army. Samus Aran the Bounty Hunter is called to take care of the threat.
The gameplay is not like other FPS's, but it works. Moving the left analog stick makes you move in a Doom-like fasion, where left and right turns you and forward/backward moves you like so. To look up and down, you must hold the R button and the left stick.
There are lots (and I mean LOTS) of powerups in the game. you will get many kinds of suit upgrades and weapons and the like. The graphics in the game were fantastic by 2002 standards, and even now, they look better than most ps2\xbox\gc games.
