Metroid Prime is brilliant, a masterpiece. I'll just call it "Prime" for this review. Like I said before, Prime advance on all fonts, all of the parts of the 2-D games were made better in this game, in which I shall explain further on. For one reason, Prime advances on graphics greatly. Prime's graphics are incredible, by far the best looking Gamecube game that has been released. Ohh, and the environments are hostile, but look great. There is something like a story in Prime, but in my opinion, Prime doesn't exactly need a good story anyway. The HUD is pretty good, mainly because your looking through the Heroine Samus helmet, which shows your ammo and everything else you have. The gameplay is excellent, you could spend hours exploring the regions of Tallon IV. One of the things that I don't like in the game is part of the controls. The automatic lock on feature can be annoying at times when you move around certain ways, and should be fixed. the targeting riticule is hard to control at times, which could also be a problem. Overall, Prime is an absolutely incredible experience. The stellar graphics, the story? The environments, and all of the other good elements make Metroid Prime a recomendation.
