The backtracking will get repetitive. Great atmosphere... that's about it.

I may be one of the few people who did not enjoy this game- It's quite difficult, and the backtracking is a huge problem for me.

Gameplay: 4/10. Terrible. What bothers me is that it's essentially Metroid. But in 3D. But in First Person. The concept of collecting items works surprisingly well in the original Metroid- and that's great. What's not so great is the way it works here. I can tolerate the idea of traveling from place to place for an item being the way to progress the story. I can't tolerate backtracking being as deadly as the actual "dungeon" parts of the story. It just doesn't work for me here.

Graphics: 10/10. Amazing, actually. I appreciate things like good graphics, and there are some of the best to be found ever, right here. Next gen has come with the 360, which I don't own, but from what I've seen, Prime is right there with it. The creatures and walls are detailed. Very nicely done.

Sound: 9/10. The feeling of isolation is very prevalent here. There's not too much I can add, however, as there is not much music in the first place. However the music that does exist is done well, even if there is not much variety.

Value: 8/10. The only reason I am giving it such a high score is because Metroid is unlockable, the Fusion suit is unlockable if you feel like playing this game in a costume you rarely see, and it's possible to miss some of the complex and immersive story.

Tilt: 4/10. Giving it a higher score than 6.0, which is what it deserves in my opinion, would be unfair. The gameplay isn't good, and allowing sound and graphics to make a game amazing isn't a good way to rate. Also, the two points could be given to graphics and the inclusion of the original Metroid.
