An appropriately updated revisitation of a time-honored classic.

User Rating: 9.3 | Metroid: Zero Mission GBA
Metroid Zero mission is an excellent game for anyone with a GBA and a few spare hours. Like most Metroid platformers, it is a little on the short side for my taste, but it does its job and it does it well in the time alotted. The additions to the game are appropriately and tastefully done. Nothing about the original game is compromised in my opinion, and I don't feel like the classic has been butchered in any way. I thoroughly enjoyed Metroid: Zero Mission and fans of almost any platformer should too.
The now semi-controversial additional play area towards the end was cool as an addition, but lets face it, running around unable to really attack was anything but fun. On the plus side, if you complete the game entirely, you unlock the original metroid game as well. So it's like a 2 in 1. So what are you waiting for anyway? Try this game out, or at least look a little further into it. If you're a fan of the Metroid series, this is seriously for you. If you're a fan of good games, this should please you as well.
