After the diappointment of Micro Maniacs, this game ROCKS!

User Rating: 9 | Micro Machines V4 PS2
The Good: Loads of cars, interesting cars, good tracks, power-ups, rewards you for damaging the enemy

The Bad: No room for Challenge error, All car classes have 1 profile.

Full Review: This game thoroughly makes up for the disappointing "Micro Maniacs". This time, the developers know what their doing! For a start there are literally hundreds of cars to collect and they have interesting designs. The VS. Mode also gives you cars for winning and you can even bet your cars, making the multiplayer aspect great. The tracks are also good and you can make your own tracks as well, which is definitely a bonus. the power-ups have many interesting, varied and ultimately destructive uses and many are great, such as the plasma gun and machine gun, being able to deal huge damage. Even the out-of-points power-ups are destructive meaning that, even when knocked out, you can have a significant impact. And best of all, the damage adds up, slowing down your enemies and even destroying them utterly. Despite all this goodness, there are 2 main flaws. firstly, all cars in a class have 1 profile, meaning the cars are more of collector's items than having competitive value, and you can't make too many mistakes in Challenge or you can't win, but the multiplayer more than makes up for these shortcomings.
