Microsoft Flight Simulator X is the best installation in the series yet. After playing it for hours, I think it's awesome. One thing that is pretty bad, though, is the frame rate. This is understandable because of the amazing graphics, but this one set-back really takes away from the quality of the game. There is a way to avoid this, though: put the game on the lowest possible quality. The graphics may be ruined, but at least it runs faster.

Bad graphics aside, this game has actually created its own gamer community. Everywhere you look you will find FSX forums, user designed plane skins, add-on packs, gamer reviews (like this one), and so much more it is just mind boggling. That really shows the power of a game like this one, which so many people have come to know and love.

I really like this game probably because of the escapism. Its a great way to be able to fly your own plane, even when plane tickets are so expensive. This game is also designed to be user-customizable, so you can make it whatever way you like. Landing on the highways and smashing cars does get old after a few hours, but the customizable air, sea, and land traffic provides many opportunities to turn a real-life simulator into a video game.(If only the planes had guns...)

Whatever your purpose of playing this game, I would recommend it to everyone. I didn't even know how to fly when I bought this game, and now I am a pro (by my standards!). So, this game is pretty cool, and a great way to pass the time (and destroy cars).
