Overall I think this game is a feat on the psp. The fairly large and detailed cities, the sense of speed, and customizable car models all push this game forward. The flow of gameplay however, is severely affected by the load times. I'm talking about 30% of your time playing this game will be waiting for the thing to load. Gameplay: Responsive controls, sense of speed, fun power-ups are all the things you'll enjoy until they are interrupted by ludicrous loading times. Graphics: Very impressive. Detailed car models and cities still allowing half decent frame rates. Sound: Great selection of music. A quick glance at the back of the instruction book shows over 60 tracks. Sound effects are ok, I like the idea of using speed stream sound as an audio cue for your nitro burst. No sound to speak of on the loading screen. Value: Over 60 Cars, 3 good sized cities, a great variety of racing styles and a hypnotic animation on the loading screen all add up to good value. Buy this game if you don't mind loading times. I suggest taking up another hobby for while you wait.
