Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition is a major improvement of 1 & 2. The graphics are really good for a ps2 game. Customization in this game is amazing; you can add color to just about every part of your car. And, compared to Need for Speed Underground 2, the car selection is off the wall. And not just tuners either; luxury sedans, choppers, sport bikes, SUVs, trucks, muscle cars, and exotics. Every type of vehicle is used in this game, and there are races classified for each one. There are 3 different real life levels in this game: San Diego, Atlanta, and Detroit, and all are fairly big. There are special things for every kind of car. For tuners, sport bikes, and exotics, there is zone, which slows everything down in case you need to make a tight turn or weave out of traffic. For muscle cars and choppers, the special is called roar, and when activated, all traffic is pushed to the side of the road, creating a clear path for you to carry on your race (it can even force other nearby racers out of your way and possibly the race). And for SUVs/trucks and luxury sedans, agro is the special. When agro is in use, coming in contact with any other vehicle sends them spinning out of control and leaves you with a clear path to victory. In every level, there are rival street racers, and in order to get to the next level, you must get 1st place in 3 different races that they pick. After winning these races, you usually unlock something special, like new rims or spoilers for your cars. There are a few different city tournaments in which you can win a new car for free. These tournaments are usually very long, but winning the car is worth it. This game is extremely fast-paced. Racing with the exotics will get your heart pumping faster than just about anything. If you’re a fan of great racing games, go get this one.
