A retro-compilation that is well worth playing.

Midway Arcade Treasures is a Retro-Compilation featuring 24 arcade games, including Defender, Defender II, Joust, Spy Hunter, Gauntlet, Paper Boy, Robotron: 2084, and Smash TV. The controls are different for each game (as you'd expect), but none of them are hard to get the hang of and all of the games control well. The graphics are nothing fancy, but after all these are ports of arcade games from the 1980s, so that really doesn't matter one bit. The sound effects and music in the various games are good, there are a few cases of the sound effects not matching up exactly to how they were in the original arcade releases, but that is not enough to spoil the enjoyment here.
My personal favourite games in this compilation are Paperboy (where you have to deliver newspapers whilst avoiding various hazards), Joust 2 (where you play as an Ostrich-riding knight and have to defeat other knights, who are also mounted on avian steeds), and Defender II (where you play has a spaceship destroying aliens and rescuing humans, it is coincidentally also one of the hardest games ever made).
All in all, this compilation is worth playing and I would recommend it to fans of arcade games everywhere.
