An excellent strategy game that is extremely addicting.

In Military Madness, the plot unfolds at the year 2089. The earth is over crowded and now human kind has settled on the moon. It turns out the moon has more resources than earth, so everyone fights for it. Once day the Evil Axs powers launch a surprise attack and capture the majority of the moon. They then begin work on a nuke to destroy earth. The plot is very korny, but it works out great. As you play, you command units to move then attack. The game deeply resembles Advanced wars, but without as detailed gameplay. On each level, you command several different units. There are tanks, ground units, some different kinds, but not alot of variety. When you command a unit to attack it will show a little cutscene of the two shooting. The gameplay is excellent, because you need to really think strategically. As you play you will see the enemy AI is actually very intelligent. They will take advantage of the terrain, which gives attack or defense bonuses, and the enemy will take you out in minutes if you arent carefull. Thats the great thing about it is that it manages to keep the gameplay challenging, but it never is hard because each time you fail you learn from your mistakes and you can try a different strategy. There arent alot of missions, Ive only played a few, but each one can take up to an hour if you have to restart. It isnt very repetetive due to the constant challenge and its very fun and addicting.
The graphics are very good. They are a perfect match from the arcade classic and look great on the wii. the terrain is detailed aswell as the units. Its still arcade graphics so dont expect 3d, but its excellent for arcade graphics. The sound in the game is great. The music is fast paced and catchy and the sound effects sound exactly the same as the arcade version. Nothing excellent in the sounds department, but nothing more than that should be expected.
Overall I highly recommend this game. It is a great challenge and if you like strategy games, chances are youll fall in love with this one. Its only 600 points which is extremely low considering the quality of the game. It blends fun and addicting gameplay, with challenging opponents to create a great all 'round fun game that can keep you occupied for hours.
