Rent it fist and find out if this game is worth your $.
The gameplay is very much like the DS’s Brain training, and is a completely new game style for the PSP. What you will be doing is taking small sequences of questions that comprehend five different categories, for example calculation, memory, reaction and so on. As I mentioned before the novelty of the gameplay runs out very soon, since its going to star feeling like work or even worst homework. Despite all this Mind Quiz is a good game while it has you entertained, the test you take to determine your brain age is the one thing that is going to keep you playing each and every day, since the results are recorded daily. The other game play modes are training, and a sort of around the world series of tests that reward you by unlocking pictures of cute animals.
The graphics as you might already figure out are not important for this type genre but still, the game could have benefited from a little more than just a green background all the time. Now, the music is actually ok, the big problem is it is just one song that plays out over and over again.
Mind Quiz offers a decent amount of value as a game but it feels more like is filler material just so you can come back and play the same thing with a different test name. In the end this game feels more like a nice novelty that you play for a few minutes at a friend’s house than a game worth buying and keeping. I strongly recommend that you rent this game first and see if it is worth buying.
