Well minecraft is a survival game set in a blocky wolrd with 8-bit graphics, you craft and build everything. This game has charming music too. controls are simple, and crafting is almost intuitive and easy to learn. What makes is its ability to be for anyone. animal farms, hotels, rollercoasters are just a few. This game also has a great modding community mods include things like airplanes, more mosters, guns, and ponies. and its creator notch has constantly updating the game with more features for 2 years strong and shows no sign of leting up. He just realesed an update with jungles and cats among other things.

of course this survival game runs closer to sandbox as for there is no real goal and you could survive as long as possible by digging a hole and covering up that hole.

Minecraft also has a creative sandbox mode that allows people to make whatever they want with unlimietd resources if you want to make a life size version of the star trek enterprise well, some ones been there done that.
