While it's not perfect, there are far worse games out there.

In my opinion, Mirror's Edge is worth checking out if only for the very unique first person free running game play. After having played the demo, I was really looking forward to getting the real game. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a letdown in some respects. The constant trial and error is what did it for me. I would be breezing along, take a mis-step and fall off the side of a building, get hit by a train or get killed by a sniper, and have to go back a good few minutes. The sections that are actually outside are great, though and I really loved the visual design. It's a nice change of pace to see a game with such stark, crisp graphics, as opposed to the usual grey, brown, or green of most games. And it may be a small thing, but I really love the theme song "Still Alive".
So, in short, I would probably recommend it, if you can stand a fair amount of trial and error. It's an original concept with very nice art, sound effects and music.
