Mirror's Edge is a unique game that you'll either love, or hate.

Mirror's Edge is a unique game, an artistic game, and a fun game. It's all about free running, there are some puzzles and combat here and there but mostly just running and jumping, which is a hell of a lot of fun.

You play as Faith, a runner (which should be called a courier) who gets mixed up in murder acusations and what-not. I won't spoil the story although I will say that it is wasted potential; the developers (DICE, who are behind the Battlefield series) told the story really well but the story itself is just... mediocre.

The puzzles in Mirror's Edge feel like they were just thrown in there to take up time, so they aren't too interesting. The combat is not the greatest too, good thing there isn't a lot of combat, most of the time there is no one trying to kill you or you are just running away from people who are trying to kill you.

Running itself is just a hell of a lot of fun, and is extremely satisfying when you make huge jumps. The game puts emphasis on momentum, because when you hold the left stick up to run, you slowly get faster, and keeping your speed can be essential at times, which involves rolling at the end of big drops and quick kills.

The visual style of this game is refreshing, to say the least. I love how the city looks, feels and flows. Just look at some screenshots, you'll see what I mean.

There is an optional feature called 'Runner Vision', which highlights opjects you should grab or jump over, and buttons you should press. I do not think it was necassery because I could do fine without it, although I guess it is user friendly.

A lot of other reviews I've been reading say this game is frustrating, the only time I ever got frustrated is when I played it on hard and tryed to do one part without shooting anyone, for a trophie, and that was my own fault. 97% of the time, I didn't feel frustrated at all, I felt relaxed just looking at the city in the game.

All up this is an awesome game, and if you thought this review was negative, I was just trying to find bad things about the game the whole time, most of the time you just run, jump, slide, roll and climb... which never gets old.
