This game needs a polished sequel.

OK. This game is fun. It's really good, but not great. This game could've been one of the best of all time though, and I expect an amazing sequel. The controls in this game are amazing. THe motions are quick and respond greatly. THe controls are simple, yet complicated at the same time... There's more depth then meets the eye in Mirror's Edge. This game overall, is revolutionary. An FP Platformer. Amazing! Unfortunetly this game tried to throw in some gunplay... yeahhh... avoid that. There's an achievement for completing the game without a gun for a reason! It's a suggestion! If you start shooting, it takes the feeling away. Unfortunetly the hand-to-hand combat isn't very fulfilling either.. You'll most likely find one combo of running hits or something that you like the best and repeat that throughout the game. So this needs to be polished in the sequel, it's close but not quite.
As for the platforming, when the game allows you to really run, it's amazing. When the player actually KNOWS where to go, in scenes like chases are being hunted by the police the game is TOP NOTCH! However, there's plenty of times when the player does not know where to go, or a jump doesn't work out just right, which is the biggest reason the game is not a 10/10.
