A must buy for any baseball fan with a PSP

MLB 07: The Show continues the success of last years great game and again puts the series in the running for sports game of the year. Sony got this game right again. Gameplay is the key to baseball games and this is where The Show shines. The pitching mechanics are superb and it makes you want to go out there and try to throw a no hitter. As for batting, the "guess the pitch" risk/reward system is back and extremely enjoyable and adds flare to the batting game.

The game looks good, with the stadiums taking the cake, as they look down right impressive. Some of the animations are recycled, but that isn't too bad. The lack of umpires is still weird, but it doesn't really effect my gameplay experience. Yeah this game has long load times, but only before a game starts and ends. However the loading screens are great as they are dynamic this year and feature many different screens. Meaning before the first game of a series you might see a screen of the upcoming pitching match-ups. After games you will see a game recap or stats on the player of the game. It is the little things that make The Show stand out.

The modes are all here with the traditional season and career modes. The new Road to the Show mode is a new addition also, as it lets you play with only your created player as you try to reach objectives so you can make it to the bigs. The online mode is fun, but I haven't played online that much due to the servers not starting game properly, but Sony says that bug has been fixed.

If you are a fan of Major League Baseball like I am, do yourself a favor and buy this game. It is truly a great big league experience and it will keep you busy even if your team is out of the pennant race early this year.
