Takes time, but can be enjoyed like fine wine.

User Rating: 9 | MLB 09: The Show PS3
The game has a wonderfully realistic pitching system which reacts to a number of factors including the pitcher's familiarity with a certain pitch and the energy level of a pitcher as the game progresses, just to name a few. These components make the pitching system very realistic and very enjoyable to those of you who enjoy a pitching battle. On the other hand, with the game so realistic, there aren't nearly as many hits, and casual gamers need to be weary of this because you may only get around 6 hits a game until you progress. The batting engine is realistic, not arcade like. The only draw back is the loading time and some of the aspects of certain modes like the Franchise mode don't make much sense why you would need them and thus could have been improved in my opinion. I echo the GameSpot reviewers and say that Road to the Show is addictive. My pitcher is currently in AAA and he is 5-1 with a 0.76 ERA, so he's going to make it to MLB, but it just takes time. This game takes time, but it is enjoyed like fine wine.
