MLB is the furst baseball game for the PSP and it may be hard to make a better one.
Gameplay -
Even though the only people who will really love it are baseball fans (like me), MLB is a whole fun to play. Well for me, any baseball game is fun but it brings the fun to a portable package. It has your basic career mode, quick play mode and online mode (Wi-Fi and Ad Hoc). That's great but it would be nice to have some mini-games like play-off mode or homerun rally to the game.
Graphics -
The graphics in this game are pretty sharp. They have PS2 quality graphics (better graphics than MLB 2004) and have pretty realistic faces. You'll be amazed that your playing on a portable. The stadiums are nice but the fans, whoever, are still the 2D people that look like there body will rip if a baseball goes through them. All in all the graphics are [still] fantastic.
Sound -
The sound has to be, hands down, the best part of this game. They have two or three different hosts who actually sound like they're having a conversation (unlike horse racing games). The special effects are great too. The fans cheering, the ball being whacked and they music when you get a homerun. They are still the great classic sounds you want in a baseball game.
Value -
As I said, there are career, online and quick play modes and no special features (unlike MVP Baseball). The game is still great despite this flaw.
Tilt -
This game is the one game that baseball fans and sports fans with PSP have to pick up. I can easily recommend this game to anyone. But if you want special features go for MVP Baseball, if you want a basic baseball experience go for this game.
