Fun, humorous and performs well, but not very deep, Monday Night Combat is a game that starts out fun and gets old fast.

User Rating: 7 | Monday Night Combat PC

This multiplayer shooter put a lot up front - the intro cinematics and voice talent are humorous and entertaining. Once in-game, everything works well. Players combine fps and turrent defense tactics to co-op against waves of robot npcs or to deathmatch an opposing team of players. Different character classes offer a very familiar range of shooter archetypes to enhance each player's experience.

But you only have to play for 10 hours or so before you start getting tired of the repetitive voice-over jokes and sound effects, getting picked off by the same sniper or getting ganked by the same assassin... and when you're ready to start combing the game's menu for some variety in gameplay, you realize why it launched at $15.

With Monday Night Combat, you get what you pay for. I really hope someone's putting together some add-on content for what could someday be a great game.
