Decent game but could've been a little bit better. (spoilers)

Monster High: 13 Wishes kinda follows the movie of the same name. Kinda because the game is really a "what if" scenario. Basically, Whisp gets her way and gets the power she wanted. So you have to re-collect the 13 Mirror pieces and stop Whisp. Graphics are OK but the game has a few glitches. I've slid through buildings, went too far in a certain direction and warped, and even went through walls into an empty void. Music is great. Each piece fits each level really well. As for the characters, you've got Frankie, Lagoona, Cleo, Abbey, Clawdeen and Draculaura. They all have a method of attack but I have a HUGE gripe with Clawdeen's attack. Why in the World would her attack be a "howl sphere"? She basically howls and a sphere just goes flying out of her mouth. She's a werewolf. I'd expect her to slash or bite or at least kick. I think what the developers were going for was to have two characters for each combat range. You have Cleo and Lagoona who do close combat, Frankie and Draculaura do mid-ranged combat and Abbey and Clawdeen do long-ranged combat. But Clawdeen isn't the appropriate character to use for long-ranged combat. Each level has 13 objectives except for the boss battles. The objectives are really simple and the same for every level: get the Skulette for each of the six characters (Mainly involves using the character to get their Skulette), get the Monster High crest (to unlock a character at the school), get a certain amount of coins, defeat a certain number of enemies, find that levels Mirror Piece, find all 3 Gigi Orbs, finish the level under a specified time limit and finish all level objectives. After unlocking a student at Monster High, they'll want to talk to a specific character and have them do a simple "fetch quest". Boss battles are pretty neat but too simple. The final battle against Whisp was a bit of a letdown. I was hoping she'd be giant for the whole battle but she only went giant at the final part and she didn't even attack. The voices in the game may (depending on the player) get on your nerves from time to time. Especially if you are bouncing on a plant or awning. A decent Monster High game. Definitely worth picking up if you are a fan of the series.
