Brilliant! Well designed and challenging.

Now it's been a while since I played this game and thought I'd reviewed it at the time but obviously not. It was such a good game though, it deserves something to be said for it and I remember it well because it was the game that had me pulling the most late-nighters being just good plain fun and totally absorbing. It has the right balance of easy and difficult and to be honest, I lost track of how many hours I eventually spent on this so it could easily have been more than forty but that's not a bad thing though. As the game progresses it gets more challenging (as they should) and draws you further and further into the house. I've never seen the movie so I don't know if that helped or hindered but what I can say is that it was honest to goodness fun.

The graphics are good and the game plot was very good and by that I mean that bits that designers have added to make it a game rather than just a copy of the movie. It has a good variety of traps, puzzles and obstacles some of which you have to achieve to complete the game but others you don't but if you do, you get better weapons - bigger and more powerful water pistols etc - which means that when you get to the bosses you've better kit to get the job done – and trust me for the fat lady – you need that!
