a hack and slash kind of game that will make you come back for more.. read my review.
My play time is around 28hours right now and i feel like i'm just starting to understand the complexity of this game. It is so massive and that's why you need pay attention to the "hunter's training" and also to read a lot about the "info magazine" in order to fully enjoy the game. As for the graphics, it's awesome! it has breathtaking sceneries that will make you stop from what you are doing and just enjoying the view. The audio is good as well. Character creation has a lot of features that can really customize your character like different kinds of hairstyle and color, a lot of different character faces and voices that is really amusing. new features includes new maps and new monsters and also you can now bring a pet cat with you to the quests that will help you kill monsters and gather materials. As for the controls, it's pretty easy, it just takes time for you to get used to. i really don't have problems regarding the camera controls or by not having a lock-on feature, having a lock-on feature on the game will make the game so easy, that's what i think. It really relies on the gamers skill and not that the game controls has shortcomings. As for the multiplayer feature, it really is fun playing with other players, it's better than playing the game by yourself but it doesn't mean that playing the game alone is boring, it's just that, playing with another player makes the hunt much more exciting and it's really where the strategy comes in to play, by planning attacks and so on. It's only ad-hoc and no online multiplayer, yeah, it's a bit disappointing but hey, it's still fun playing the game as it is.
Monster Hunter is not your ordinary hack and slash kind of game, it involves a lot of strategy in order for you to kill or capture monsters in different ways. it's all about gathering materials, killing monsters and improving your status as the best hunter by creating the ultimate weaponry and armor, mastering different kinds of weapons, mastering different kinds of items like bombs and traps, and being experienced and highly skilled in combat.
What makes the game so addictive is because it's massive in a way that you can change to being a melee hunter to range hunter, there's a lot of skills that your character can acquire by creating different kinds of armor, to be honest i could go on and on because it has a lot features but i'll just let the players discover the rest. All i can say is that you have to put your time and effort into the game in order for you to really enjoy the game. I tell you now that a lot of your time that you will spend for this game would be worth it. The advice that i can give is that, you must be patient and try not to skip things like going for advance weaponry or armor without even having the knowledge of where to get the specific item requirements. Don't try to be advance, just take it slow and enjoy the ride. Happy Hunting!
