MHFU is a Good game, but much too similar to MHF2.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite... Capcom's revolutionary new addition to the Monster Hunter series, or is it? I have played for just shy 30 hours (Yes, i love Monster Hunter) and have not found a lot of improvement from the previous game. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear you were playing the same game! Graphics are the same, Game play is the same, Village is the same, Most monsters are the same. Okay, some of the game's addition's are great (Such as the cat allys), but theres not enough to consider this a different game to MHF2... It's basically just an upgrade.

Some of the new monsters are cool, but there's not many. I mean yeah, there was already loads, but i mean if you're releasing a whole new game about it, we want a fresh new selection of beasts to hunt. There is also new armour and weapons, which is cool, but like i said, there's not alot. The best upgrade for this game is the fact that you can upgrade to HR9 instead of just HR6, which is fantastic. It makes the game more challenging and fun. Another great upgrade is the cat allais (Which i mentioned earlier). It makes you feel not so lonely when you're hunting down beast's. The downside is you cannot bring them into multiplayer hunts (Which lets be fair - we all wanted to do).

All in all i like the new Monster Hunter game, however i'm not sure if it's different enough to fork out a whole £30 to buy. However if you're a true Monster Hunter fan and you've been urging for more, go grab it. If this is the first Monster Hunter you are buying, get it. It may have small differences, but to a beginner it will seem more.
