Ryan Davis, of GameSpot, has no business reviewing this game. It is a shame he is still involved with Monster Hunter.

User Rating: 10 | Monster Hunter Freedom PSP
The PSP version of Monster Hunter (MH-G really) is a great game. Ryan Davis is still looking for a "lock on" mechanism... anyone who has actually played the game will realize how comical that comment is; It's kind of like saying "why don't they put a metal slug in baseballs and make the bat magnetic?" Monster Hunter is not a hack and slash game, it is all about skill with weapons and tools, and progressively fighting bigger and better boss monsters... the most awesome AI monsters you have ever seen! The only issue with this game is that you will have to play it for a couple dozen hours before you start geting into the REALLY good stuff. If you don't have that kind of attention span, you will probably be frustrated, and you can go get a beer with Ryan Davis... yup, sorry, there is no nuclear missile with heat sensors to lock on the dragon and blow it up with one blast. You are going to have the fight of your life to bring these beasts down...

Gamespot - please do not have Ryan Davis EVER review a Monster Hunter title again. I am sure that would be just fine with him as well.
