Monster Hunter Freedom is, should we call it, a sequel to the original Monster Hunter on Playstation 2. The gameplay almost works the same way the PS2 version does, the graphics are slightly improved and the weapon upgrades are better than ever. It's not a bad game, considering the clunky controls that will take some time of getting used to. It's also a damn long game, stretching over hunting quests, gathering quests and strange little cats that cook for you. (No seriously.) Monster Hunter Freedom uses almost all of what the PSP can offer. The online play is great, the soundtrack is bloody awesome and the small screen makes the larger monsters seem like small-sh*ts. In short, Freedom is just too underrated by gamespot.
