Clearly the best roleplaying game on Wii so far.

There is no doubt about it. Monster Hunter Tri is the best roleplaying game you can get for Wii. The idea of the game is the same as with previous titles on Playstation platforms. Hunt huge badass monsters, collect resources, build huge weapons and repeat. Might sound repetative, but the thing is that games only get repetative, if the player cannot see any progress, and with Monster Hunter, there is always progress. They player gets rewarded, before getting bored.

You don't just get better by collecting better equipment, but the biggest factor here is skill. Monster Hunter series is all about skill and Tri is not different. It's quite challenging game, that requires staying calm, and planning the next move carefully. This is not a button smashing game. Simply blindly attacking anything, will end you up dead. Basicly progressing through equipment, learning and mastering the game, makes Monster Hunter Tri an absolutely addictive game.

The visuals are what you would expect from a Wii game. It's beautiful, but still lacks a lot of the power PS3 and X360 have. It's still the best looking Monster Hunter game out there.
