This is a must have for any non-turn based RPG fanatic.
If we think about it, Video Games are there for one purpose: to incorporate the innate drive for adventure that has been with us since the beginning of time. This game gives it to you in spades!
Everything from the immersible environments to the frustrating joy of fighting the one or two monsters you love to hate feeds the deep addiction of the casual and avid gamer. Be warned, this game is not for those with a huge amount of gaming ADD or whiny brats or sore losers. This game will kick your butt as often as it can. And when you finally get used to the movements of a monster, it ups the ante and makes them stronger, faster, and smarter.
Playing on the single player storyline is a great way to start, mostly because the monsters are easier and you will never have to worry about higher ranked hunters being annoyed at your lack of experience. Once you finish with the story, move into the online realm (called Loc Lac city) and start making friends with those near your Hunter Rank. Even with over 200 hours invested, the game seems fresh and new.
