When I first saw this game on GameSpot I was thinking to myself, "Gothic themed pokemon? How fun." I then looked into it and none other than Atlus made this game. Atlus games are usually at the top of my list for anything. So without further inconvience, let's begin the review.

First of all the Gameplay in this game is very in-depth when customizing your creatures. To start the Battle system is a Final Fantasy turn-based style, were you can see who attacks next and so forth. The real Gameplay comes from the customization you can do with your monsters such as: Fuse monsters with "Quartz", expand its abilities, add to its stats, and evolve it to new monsters. This game kept me playing for hours just seeing if I could get a fire monster to learn powerful water moves (that was fun). Anyway the Gameplay in this game has a simple battle system built-in with a complex monster configuration system.

The Graphics of the game are amazing to say the least. All the monsters are unique and different in there own way. I loved just searching for new monsters that I have not seen yet. The models are very detailed and nice down to the last touch, the game has a zoom in/out feature for the monster models that adds a nice touch to the overall graphics. The terrain and places of the game is very good each place has its own theme and not many models repeat each other for a very nice, smooth game.

The voice overs in this game were great not to mention the "roar" of all the creatures constantly annoying me. Of course i'm not much of a sound guy myself because i usually listen to music while i play my games. But, for the record I sure did like the voice overs.

This game is worth every penny. A bit expensive for a grade C game but, it is worth it. You get your time and moneys worth from this game. Another great hit from Atlus.

Pros:
- Great voice overs
- Alot of creatures and customization
- Awesome story.
- Models are very nice and smooth for a PSP
- Virtually no loading times (Go Atlus!)

Cons:
- Small lag during some battles (not a problem for most people)

This is a sure pick-up for any Pokemon fan. I'm still playing it with my friends it is a very enjoyable game and I hope it becomes more popular with time.
