It uses Unreal Engine, and it looks fantastic! 60fps
Campaign mode has seamless cut scene to gameplay with out any loading (Great to see in a fighting game)
Animations are crazy,It's bloody gory and over the top.
There are 29 arenas 27 characters 28 for PS3 (Kratos)
''Game play''
Gameplay is easy to pick up, Combos are not overly difficult like SSF4. Campaign mode is 8 to 10 hours long (Amazing Campaign) Plus every character has its own ending in ladder mode. Also Tag mode 2vs2 (Haven't gone into that mode all that much) Great edition to MK. ChallengeTower mode over 300 levels. Practice mode for characters/fatalitys
Then theres other features such as ''The Krypt'' the place to unlock character art,arena art,fatalitys,alternate costumes

Sound is one of the best things about Mortal Kombat.
It's sounds so real, you think you broke your own bones.

For aussies need to create a US account to activate the online code,not very hard to do...
Once you do that, The code saves to the console you activated it with...
Theres 1on1 2vs2 King of the hill.If you join a all aussie game it runs pretty smove.
I played one american, and it was very playable, but a lot of the time you get booted before you can either pick your character.Also 5to6 months later and still not fix for De-syncing. random disconnects/and a major issue My Arcade De-sync Bug, WTF are you doing NR? My original reiview was 10/10 but after 100 of de-syncs it goes down 1 point. Online SUXXX.

All around its an Amazing game,so much to do.
online or off,best fighting game i have ever played
First couple of days i already learnt some 14 hit combos
Just need to practice other characters, and theres a lot of fun characters to get into:)
